Client brief:

A large multinational corporation with a diverse portfolio of global businesses sought to acquire a rooftop bar concept for its hotel project in Sri Lanka.

After an extensive review, five international brands were shortlisted, with three undergoing in-depth discussions to assess potential menu adaptations and align with local market insights. Negotiations were conducted with each brand, successfully minimizing the client’s financial exposure and securing a prime location. The Bangkok-based brand “Above 11” was invited for further discussions in Dubai and later traveled to Sri Lanka to evaluate the site, ultimately agreeing to operate under a managed franchise model.

The contract was comprehensively negotiated and the deal was finalised in November 2024.
